Maureen Denise McCormick is the daughter of Richard McCormick. She was born August 5th, 1956 in Woodland Hills California. Her parents were an aunt who worked as household worker and father who taught. Michael Dennis, Kevin and Dennis are her three oldest brothers. From a young age McCormick was a singer as well as dance. She would also put on puppet shows for youngsters in the area. When she was just 6, McCormick won at the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley competition. Pat Domigan from the Jack Wormser Agency then called her and asked if the actress would be interested in a career in show business. McCormick's first big job was in 1964 when she appeared in a television commercial featuring Mattels new doll Baby Pattaburp. She did another commercial in 1964, for Mattels Chatty Cathy toy and soon was cast as the main character in The Wind It up and It Breaks, a play at La Jolla Playhouse. The Brady Bunch McCormick won the 1969 audition of 1200 kids to be the youngest of three twins on the TV program The Brady Bunch, starring Florence Henderson as a newlywed and Robert Reed. The show lasted five seasons. McCormick admitted in Heres the Story. Surviving Marcia Brady, and Finding My True Voice (published 2008) that McCormick nearly lost her Virginity in the hands of Barry Williams during the five-year duration in the series. The actress was just 16 years older and the actor 19 at the at the time. It would have happened she said but the timing was never right for us.
